Deontic Advisors was conceptualized and set up by Truptesh Shah in September 2009 with the core focus to provide unbiased financial advisory solutions in line with the principles of Financial Planning set by the Financial Planning Standards Board, India.

Truptesh Shah is a seasoned professional in the financial services industry with more than 2 decades of experience in the field of analyzing, interpreting and promoting financial products & services in the equity, debt & insurance markets. The last 12 years of his practice have been focused in the areas of core Financial Planning & Wealth Management.
A Certified Financial PlannerCM (CFPCM) and an MBA (Finance), he has an in depth understanding of the financial markets, products and services. He was confered with the CFPCM Certification Mark in the year 2006. One of the first three certificants in the State of Andhra Pradesh and among the first 200 in the country. Truptesh has a strong hold in the areas of equity, debt, insurance, estate planning, trust services & asset allocation, from a Financial Planning proposition.
His personal values of integrity and transparency match the Deontic culture. Truptesh’s breadth and depth of knowledge on investors and the marketplace means that he is uniquely placed to capitalize on Deontic’s strengths and continue to grow the firm. With a strong, experienced hand at the helm, he oversees the day-to-day operations and leads the organisation in setting the strategic direction of the firm and in the implementation of major initiatives.
He carries with him a rich background of having represented and worked for organizations such as ASK Wealth Advisors, Allegro Capital Advisors, HSBC Bank, Citibank and HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company.
Truptesh, a mentor and a career advisor to a number of budding Financial Planners, also teaches various subjects pertaining to investment management & financial planning. He has been invited at a number of forums to deliver talks as a guest speaker. He has also been invited by The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) as a faculty at the SEBI Financial Education Resource Persons workshop.
Truptesh is also a founding member of the Federation of Financial Planners (FFP). A non-profit making organization (society) founded with the objective of promoting and popularizing the financial planning & advisory profession. He is also the Founding member, and a member of the Governing Council of the Association of Professional Independent Financial Advisors (APIFA), a non-profit making organisation formed with the objective of developing Mutual Fund Advisory Profession. He is also an active Lion and has been serving the society for the past 7 years. He has also served the Lions Club in various capacities, as a Secretary, Treasurer and a Director during different terms.
